In this lesson Rachel Reid gave a talk on the importance of copyright and plagiarism when it comes to the art world. Using the socreative service we where given questions and at the end of each one was a small discussion about our answers, it was very engaging and gave a good view of everyone opinion
It was mainly around the importance of sourcing artwork and artists in your academic work in order to be taken seriously and avoid copyright issues.
Our group overall gave a "fairly confident" rating in their abilities to reference things in their work.
while it was an informative lesson i don't feel i got a lot out of it, i already know that i should reference things, but the workshop didn't give me any new tools on how to reference.
this workshop also lacked teaching the lesson from another perspective, how i can protect myself and my work from plagiarism and how to handle things legally.
